When Kathy and her husband, Skip, relocated to Carrabelle from Atlanta in 2001 to renovate and operate The Old Carrabelle Hotel, they were not exactly newcomers to the "Forgotten Coast". Kathy began vacationing in the Carrabelle Beach area in 1964 and started introducing Skip to the "old Florida" lifestyle in the early 90's. With her knowledge of the area and love for its nature-oriented beauty, it just seemed natural to get into the real estate business and show others what she had been excited about since discovering Carrabelle as a young girl. Kathy and Skip have five children that love to visit for quality beach time and a dog and cat that help run the Inn.
